No, The Government Does Not Need to Investigate Kellyanne Conway’s Commercial for Ivanka Trump Clothing – She’s Not Worth It

Stupidity is Not a Crime

In the midst of all of the news about how a top national security adviser to Trumpie engaged in possible illegal contacts with Russia and lied about it, there is also news that those investigative hounds in Congress also want to look into an action by Presidential confidant and all around liar Kellyanne Conway.  Ms. Conway went on TV and actually gave a self-identified commercial for Ivanka Trump products.

This violates ethics rules and so there is impetus for an investigation.

Ethics Watchdog Denounces Conway’s Endorsement of Ivanka Trump Products

WASHINGTON — The White House adviser Kellyanne Conway’s public endorsement of Ivanka Trump’s product line appears to be “a clear violation of the prohibition against misuse of position,” and she should be disciplined, the federal government’s chief ethics watchdog wrote this week in a letter to the White House.

She just didn't know any better, not a crime to be ignorant

This is a waste of resources.  Conway obviously did her thing out of gross stupidity.  Furthermore the Trumpies want this to distract from the serious problems of Flynngate.  So everyone should calm down about Conway and let it go, if stupidity is a crime we will lose the entire Trump team.
